PROGRAM OVERVIEW

FLORIDA ACADEMY LEAGUE (FAL) | U8-U12 BOYS ELITE

The Florida Academy League provides a top-tier developmental

platform for boys ages U9–U12, focused on building strong

technical foundations, game understanding and a true love for the

game. Designed as a club-based academy environment, FAL

emphasises player-centred development through high-quality

training, competitive match play and consistent standards across

all participating clubs.

Springs SC’s U9–U12 boys teams compete in the FAL as a critical

step in the player pathway, preparing athletes for 11v11 soccer

and progression into elite platforms such as the NAL and MLS

NEXT. The structure prioritises long-term development over short-

term results.

QUESTIONS

FAL FAQS

  • What is the time commitment?

Three field training sessions per week, goalkeeper training twice per week, and 24 games across the season, which runs August 10, 2026

through May 30, 2027 at Cypress Park.

  • How do evaluations and team placement work?

Register for an evaluation through the club. Players are seen by the coaching staff and directors, and placement is confirmed by team

offer through PlayMetrics. A $25 payment accepts the team position within 24–48 hours of the offer. Questions about placement go to your

coach or the program director. FAL runs Elite and Phantom tiers, and players are placed in the tier that fits their current stage.

  • Is travel required?

Limited. Most FAL play and tournaments are within South Florida, with a small number of regional events.

  • What does the fee include, and are payment plans available?

The club fee is $2,375 for U8–U10 and $2,725 for U11–U12. It covers coaching and training, game day operations, registration and

insurance, league fees and entry events, team equipment and PlayMetrics. Payment plans are available for every team. Uniforms,

tournaments and coach travel are additional.

  • What is the refund and withdrawal policy?

Refer to the refund policy signed during registration. Any specific questions can go to [email protected].
